Photo post: Bamburgh and the Canon IV SB2

I thought I would have more time to get some posts done, but I have been caught up in a new hobby. I have got myself a 3D printer. I had no base knowledge, so I have been on a steep learning curve with a few failed prints and filament tangles.

But I have finally got things sorted and have successfully printed a basic pinhole camera. I have yet to add a pinhole or test it though.

I am happy with my progress so far; each day I learn something new.

I have been out with cameras too; I just haven’t gotten around to researching them or writing the posts. So to keep you all amused, I will add some photo posts this week. Next week I am going to Scotland, so once again I will be a little quiet.

For this post, I thought I would add a few more photos from a recent camping trip to Bamburgh. I took the Canon IV SB2 as I hadn’t used it in a while. I loaded it with some bulk-rolled Fomapan 100 and went for a cycle, yeap I took this lovely camera on a bike ride.

Here are a few views of the castle, with a few other nearby locations such as Lindisfarne.

The grave you see above is that of Grace Darling. If you haven’t heard of her, I highly recommend viewing the linked website. She is someone we are taught about in school here, or we used to be when I was little.

I will try to post a few more things this week, just so you know I am ok 🙂

Congratulations on learning 3D printing! You might develop a worthy side hustle by becoming the first person in England making and selling resin 3D adapters to fit vintage lenses to the more uncommon camera mounts. I’ve had to import such adapters from overseas when I need them, and that is costly.
