Photo Post: Olympus OM4 in Highgate Cemetary

I have been saving these photos for Halloween, not that I think cemeteries are scary, but it seemed to fit. Then I thought, nah, better for after.

I took a trip to London earlier in the year to see the London Photo Show, and I used some spare time to visit Highgate. It has been on my ‘dot’ list for ages, my Google Placemarks of places I want to see. The main reason for me was to see George Michael’s resting place. There isn’t a photo of that grave, as there is a notice asking that no photos be taken, so I didn’t.

You can read more about Highgate and its residents at this website. These were taken with Kodak Plus X.

If you get a chance to visit, I would recommend it, but respectfully so.

Great photos! I’ve always wanted to have a look through Highgate cemetery.

Me too! It was very interesting to wander around. Lots of names I recognised, some I didn’t but it was interesting to read more about them.

Thank you for a tour of the most remarkable graveyard (in terms of statuary and residents) that I’ve ever seen!

From Karl Marx, to Douglas Adams, if the ghosts could talk to each other it would be amazing.
