Photo Post: Contax 137MA Quartz, XP2 and Durham

Third post in a row today. I am catching up on some of the things in my draft folder. These were all taken on one roll of Ilford XP2, one of my favourite films, in one of my favourite cameras. I went for a weekend break to Durham with my cousin. We stayed around the city, visiting the castle, the cathedral and Crook Hall Gardens.

My cousin insisted I take a photo of the rock striations, which are a natural feature of the sandstone used. The whole city was beautiful with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. We were lucky to be there on a market day, love a good market!

Your photo of the statuary maid in the garden made me enlarge it and look twice – it is so realistic and natural. Lovely photos of an inspiring location – thank you!

It really was a lovely place and it (and my cousin) inspired/forced me to get the National Trust membership. It has been worth it so far, I have been to a number of places and saved money.
