It’s that time again! World Pinhole Day. I used the pinhole camera I made last year as it worked well and was still in great condition. I only seem to take pinhole photos at the end of April, I wonder why??

I returned to the bluebell woods that I visited with the rustic pinhole. I love that place and the bells bloom simultaneously with Pinhole Day. Next year I will go somewhere new, though, as there are so many places to visit. I will keep using my multi-format, because why wouldn’t I?
It was a lovely day, and I wandered through the woods, alone for the most part. I got there early, but by lunch, many more people had arrived in the area.
I took a small tripod as the exposure times were about 3 minutes.

I sat in the frame for this one and took the first photo. The tripod was very low, and I did wonder what results a taller one would have yielded.

I did think the results would be ‘wider’ due to the 6×12 format.

I took a video of this location, the birds you hear are not added, but the actual dawn chorus. It was delightful. I heard so many birds, including a woodpecker, pheasant, mistle thrush, and a song thrush.
In my own garden, we have many bluebells, including the white variety. Mine are definitely bluebells and not wild garlic, there is no smell at all. There was lots of wild garlic on this walk, and even I could smell it with my very poor sense of smell. I have sown lots of wild flowers in my garden that are ‘weeds’ to others. I also let the lawn bloom with dandelions and daisies until the other flowers take over their bee and butterfly duties. I have noticed there are fewer butterflies this year, I wonder if it is due to the consistent rain over the previous two years? We also have lots of yellow poppies, which are a Welsh variety. I keep planting red poppies and sowing seeds, but so far none have bloomed. I have even planted blue poppies, but we only ever get the Welsh yellow ones. This year I am putting a lot of effort into sunflowers, hopefully in June/July there will be lots of those on the blog, fingers crossed.

Here are the last two photos from the roll. On this setting, you get 8 shots, but for one, I knocked the shutter open as I walked up a hill.

I uploaded one of the shots to the Official gallery. There were nearly 600 shots last time I checked.
Next year, I think I will go to a beach or castle 🙂
Very nice! I like the last two best.
Me too. I submitted the second to last one.
These are lovely photos … the low tripod gives a gnome’s-eye view of the woods.
