Stuff I’ve Read Recently

There is no point in writing all the ways this has been a hell of a year, it’s obvious. But just when you thought the year couldn’t get any worse, something comes along to remind you it could. It could be a lot worse in the blink of an eye.

Recently I have been following a photographer from Lebanon and she posted this message of hope which struck a cord with me.

After that I decided to search for more Lebanese photographers. Here are some that I found interesting.

I want to point out this one in particular…

In this account you will see amazing videos of the devastation and one in reverse following the explosion back to the beginning. They are breathtaking.

Immediately when I saw the images coming from Beirut, I thought of the explosion in Halifax that I have read about. This article compares the two events.

And after all that I return to the first message, of hope. Hope is the power we need to get through the day.
