I am trying out a new look for the blog. I have also refreshed the Camera Post page and the sidebar. That change was due to the new blocks writing format on WordPress. I saw a fellow blogger’s page and decided on updating mine too. I wasn’t able to add floating photos on the side though, he is much cleverer 🙂
If you don’t like the sidebar, you can zoom in and cut it out. The formatting of this template seems to work better for that action.
I am going to introduce a few more changes in the future, but not too many. I don’t want to overwhelm myself.
Looking on my smart phone, I don’t liked how it cuts the name when in portrait mode. How is it for you?
You’re braver than I, Peggy. I had the new WordPress editor enabled for all of one day before realizing how much I hated it. There is something about the way my brain is programmed, that the block editing idea just makes NO sense to me. Even worse, any post you create or edit in the new editor, alters the raw code for the post making it unusable in the old editor if you ever want to switch back!

Eventually they will make it compulsory, like google does…hey try this option…then all of a sudden it is not an option. Luckily I also use squarespace which uses blocks. That one is a bit trickier, but fancier. So this one wasn’t so bad for me. The list page was becoming unmanageable in the old version, so when I saw Jim’s and the weather was bad, I changed mine. It took a while.

Nice new theme.
Yes, the site name cuts wrong on a phone in portrait mode.

Hmm…I like the wood, but I might have another look in the templates.

I think I fixed it by changing the font.

In phone portrait mode the title appears
Camera Go Ca

as thought the format is either too large or not large enough, I guess reducing it or enlarging it sufficiently would solve the problem. That is if you can edit that kind of detail. Other than that love the new look. Easier on the eye.
Thanks for all the time you put in Peggy.

That’s meant to read font not format in my above comment.

Unfortunately, I think the size is set by the template. I will have another look today. And thank you.

That works even though it’s not woods. I like waves.
