Photo Post: The Mystery Bag Yashica FX-D

I have now tried the Yashica from the mystery bag, though it meant going out on a dull and cloudy day. It has rained and rained and rained and rained and rained, and very briefly sunned, and then rained and rained… All in all, it’s been quite crap weather-wise so far this year.

I had every confidence that the camera worked, so I recovered it straight away with a Japanese print-style fabric.

Even though I pushed the film to 800asa in processing, a few images were still a little dark, so I have left them out of the gallery.

I definitely prefer these over the digital ones I took on the retro camera. I especially like the one of the weird-looking, white fungi. Oh, and the root that looks like a dinosaur foot.

But mainly, I liked the whole story of this camera, getting it in the mystery bag, reskinning it, and finding the Yashica lens cover in my junk bag. I think I will keep this one and sell or give away my original FX-D.

Once again, thank you to the giver of the bag.
