Time to look forward and think about what I envision or would like to accomplish in 2025. Last year, I said I didn’t want to buy any cameras this year…well, that didn’t work out, but I will try again this year 🙂

I have too many cameras and some I haven’t used for ages. The phrase, “If you don’t use it, you might lose it,” works with cameras too. I need to go through them and check what is still working. I also want to decide which ones to keep or part with. If I am not going to use them again, I should sell/give them to someone who will.

I did build the multiformat pinhole camera, but I didn’t get around to using the stereo cameras. That will be moved to this year. As you can no doubt see, managed to organise advertising. It is a mixed blessing. It does pay for the upgrade to allow for more space, but it is also annoying for me and you. It keeps this blog running so it will have to stay.

As for the personal plans, I only achieved the ‘reading more’ one. I failed at all the others…because I made a list?? This year, due to monetary issues, weather, illness…things just got in the way. So I am not making any personal plans for 2025, except one: To take each day as it comes and enjoy what I have. I am so lucky in many respects and sometimes I forget that.

I went for a walk today for a photography project I have joined. It meant I went to one of the oldest cemeteries in the UK. Many of the graves are from the 19th century, but not all. I walked past one from November 2024, it had fresh flowers. The person interred was just 42 years old, that is no age. This year may not have brought me all I wanted to achieve, but it could have been much worse.

So this is my very short plan for the 2025

1. Do not buy any cameras, swap or borrow instead.
2. Go through my collection and decide what I want to keep or part with.
3. Use the stereo cameras I have, including reusing the Reto 3D.
4. Enjoy being present in the moment.

Oh and WordPress now has an AI image generator so I thought I would try it out for the featured image. It is…interesting.

Double oh, I forgot the stats. I really wanted to mention that…

Well, the views are down but everything else is way up. At the moment the site has a count of 1,969,068 hits. Wow, nearly 2 million!! I am really looking forward to seeing that counter roll over to that. When my site hit one million, I gave a few cameras away. I think I will do the same this year, I really think 2025 will be when it happens. Who would have thunk!!
