Photo Post: A walk with the Kiev 88

A friend recently said she rarely sees me with a medium-format camera. So the next time I went on a walk with her, I took one…and my heaviest. In hindsight, it wasn’t my greatest idea as I didn’t have a strap for the Kiev 88. By the end of the walk, my wrist was hurting from carrying it and I vowed to buy a good neck strap as soon as possible. That turned out to be the next week, so HEY, maybe more walks with this camera 🙂

Anyway, this walk was in Manchester and was organised by North West Film Photo. I loaded the Kiev with a roll of expired Rollei Retro 400 and got to shooting. I asked a few of my fellow walkers if I could take their portraits and they said yes. Here are some of the results.

Thank you to all the posers!
