This has to be one of my favourite combinations, a great film, camera, and lens. I said I had one more film to come from the Nicca and here are some shots from it. I took it to Bolton Abbey and around Wakefield, for a project I will write about later.
The film was developed by photohippo.co.uk and acquired from Ilford on one of their photo walks.

Love them 🙂
Another great blog post from Peggy, love these images.
Thanks, what a super sharp camera though.
You’ve taken some wonderful images with this camera, film, lens set. Have you tried using a yellow or red filter when you shoot B&W?
Yes, I tend to always have a yellow filter on. I just didn’t have one with this thread size. I occasionally use a red filter, mainly a graduate for the skies.
Two fine photo posts with your marvelous Nicca. I believe the odd noises heard when winding on, are caused by today’s film, which is made with an estar base. Kodak et al switched from acetate to estar around 1970. Estar is both thinner and slicker than its predecessor. Back in the day there were tech articles published which noted that cameras designed and built for acetate-based films might have some difficulty winding on estar films, problems caused by different dimensions at the sprockets and pressure plate. Hope this helps.
That’s what the repairer said, and he reduced the tension in that area. Seems to have worked.
