A while ago I joined a photoshoot on the spur of the moment. It was in Manchester, in the afternoon and rapidly turning into the evening. That meant the light was fading fast. The film already loaded was not quick enough, but I had some expired 3200 in my bag so I swapped out what was in the camera for that.
As I was taking photos of the main model, another woman came up to us and asked if I would take their photo with their phone. I said yes and managed to persuade them to pose too. Actually, it wasn’t that hard as they were up for it immediately.
As you can see, it was still too dark at times. The very underexposed shots were taken at the end of the shoot. I am pleased with the results, though I wish it was a slightly brighter day. There are some more photos from this session on this post.
Does the Olympus OM4 allow for iso3200 via DX or do you have to push it up the hill Peggy? I only have an OM10 slr in the Olympus range and I dont use that so I’m not clued up with them, too light for a shakey Parky like me.
I’m a fan of grain, it can give depth to shots so the above shots are right up my street.
The OM4 has an asa selector dial which goes up to 3200. So not a dx code camera, but it does go that high. I have tried most OM cameras, it is one of my favourite range of cameras.
