I know I saw a photo or read an article about infrared photography on a dull or cloudy day, but blessed if I can find it.

Anyway, I did remember it and today I was at a bit of a loss for something to do on my local walk other than, well, walk…and decided to take along my converted camera.

It really was a dull day. The forecast said it could snow at any moment, which might be interesting too. It didn’t.

Here are some of the shots I got. I liked the effect infrared had on the sky. To my eye it looked flat and nondescript, but in the shots there is more life to them.

The ones within the trees are pretty flat though. I much prefer the ones taken on a sunnier day that really enhance the effect.
