Barnsley Zine Fair Photowalk and Zine Open Call

The Barnsley Libraries, Book Festival and Fotocollective have announced their latest Zine Fair. It is taking place on Saturday, 28th February at the Barnsley Civic. There will be 60+ zinemakers, artists, illustrators, designers, writers, poets, and photographers from around the UK, under one roof. There are also free drop-in workshops and 3 photography exhibitions.

It sounds amazing, and given my love for all things photographic, I thought I would trundle along. Of course, I will have a camera or two with me, so if the weather is willing (the rain must stop at some point!), I will have a photo wander. With that in mind, I thought I would announce it on Photowalk.me and make a walk/talk of it. After wandering the town and zine fair, we could have a coffee/drink and share our purchases and thoughts.

You can find all the details and sign up via the button below or the link in the bio.

Of course, you don’t have to keep me company on the walk; the zine fair is free for all and open to everyone. If you are interested and like supporting local artists, check it out at any point. You can find more details at this link.

The Photozine Collective has announced an open call for their next zine, Convergence.

It will be their fifth photography zine, and for the first time, there is an open call for the public to submit photos for publication alongside the members of the Photozine Collective.

They’re looking for fifteen photographers from the analogue community to appear alongside fifteen from the collective. The submissions will open 18 April 2026 and close on 10 May 2026. You can find more details on their website.
