What’s in the Bag? Day Two

Second day and a new pocket to open. I have decided to go around the bag clockwise, then the top cover and finally the main compartment. If the main compartment ends up having other sections, well, I will have to decide what to do when I see it.

Today it is the turn for the back pocket, which was very thin. It’s the part that sits against your hip as you carry the bag. I mentioned to the giver that it could only fit prints or a zine. Other than that, I had no idea.

Here is the reveal video…

You can hear my surprise or even shock at the end of the video. The brief glimpse of money was not what I was expecting at all. I wrote to the giver and expressed my surprise.

He said that some of the other items might require film, processing, or a repair. The money is to cover those aspects of the bag. He didn’t want me to be out of pocket by receiving the bag. That is so thoughtful. The second day, another thoughtful gift. I will use the money for exactly that. At the end, if there is anything left, I will donate it to a cancer charity. He said the bag came from a relative who died of cancer, and the money from another who passed from a similar fate during covid. It is not my story to tell, but he reminded me of why I set the blog up in the first place, so it seems fitting.

Moving on…What will be in the next compartment? It is the same size as day one, ooh, the possibilities.

Hi Peggy! Excellent idea for the blog. The Mystery Bag is like those old movies with weekly episodes 😃. So suspenseful! Can’t wait for the next chapter.
