It’s almost here, the second Analogue Spotlight event. If you are in the UK and love analogue photography, then I am sure you have heard about this event and might have even bought tickets.
Here is the official blurb:
Analogue Spotlight, a global analogue photography association, is holding their second annual two-day event on October 14th and 15th at NonSuch Studios, in central Nottingham, UK.
The event aims to bring together individuals and businesses within the film community through innovative exhibitors, inspiring speakers, educational workshops, and fun social activities like meet & greets and photowalks. There will also be giveaways and goody bags for ticket holders, thanks to the event’s generous sponsors!
The last event sold out, so don’t miss your opportunity to be part of this exciting one-of-a-kind analogue photography event of the year!

Why am I telling you this? Because I am one of the speakers. So far, I am scheduled to speak on Sunday afternoon. I think I am categorized in the “Inspiration Speakers” section, but mainly it will be me ranting about how I keep trying and often fail to get my weird and wonderful cameras to work. The presentation is entitled, “Where there is a will…” I am not sure if there is a “way” after that, there are definitely a few ‘hmmphfs’ and ‘goddamnits’. At the moment I plan to talk about a Maximar 207/5 and a Barbie Hawkeye to name two recent projects.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Good on you, “Inspirational Speaker”! Will someone capture the highlights of this event on video? And where will it be posted, if they do?
Someone else has asked that. If it is then I will post the link on here somewhere.
Looking forward to event. Sadly I will miss your talk as I’m only going on Saturday.
Andrew
I will be around then, so hopefully, we can say hi
