I actually made a new zine!
It has been on my list of things to do for ages, but life got in the way. So I decided to combine my photography life and my work life. I asked permission to take photos around my school once the students had left the building. These days you can’t walk around a school with a camera of any kind due to safeguarding issues. The zine feature 36 photos taken during 2 afternoons when the winter light wasn’t quite so dark.

This is a zine with a collection of photos taken inside a school where I work. I was given permission to use my own time after school to take shots of the school resources. The photos are a full roll of 36 exposures from one roll of film. They were taken with a Contax 137MD and Exeter 400 bulk-loaded film.

I just downloaded the digital copy, and enjoyed the moody geometrics in many of your photos … also that Orwellian plastic doll. Ya done good within the mandated limitations!
The restrictions on capturing youngsters’ faces for publications is understandable but frustrating. I’ve been shooting b&w for our church’s website redesing, and had to go to some lengths to show youth classes without actually showing the youth. Back in the day, faces and expressions were what editors paid for … not views of keesters or silhouettes.
It would have been nice to get some students in there, but I wasn’t even allowed to use the camera while they were around. Thank you for your kind words and support as always. Yeah, that doll is freaky.
