I bought a short bulk roll of a film I haven’t tried before, so short it could hardly be called bulk. The tin that arrived was smaller than any other I have tried as there was no spool inside. I haven’t seen the film advertised anywhere but on eBay where the description said…EXETER PAN ml X 100 iso MULTI LATITUDE (50iso-250iso).
I got about 5 rolls of 27-ish exposures from the tin, which wasn’t bad for £18. I also had enough left for a very short test roll to figure out the development times.
I loaded the short roll into the Rollei B35 I fixed and wandered off to Cannon Hall. I just went to the park area and a local village, I didn’t pay to go inside the farm.
I shot the film at 100asa and once finished I wandered home and tried to figure out how to develop it. Again, the eBay listing said…
“STANDARD DEVELOPING TIMES DEVELOP AS FOMAPAN 100 PLEASE USE EITHER KODAK/ILFORD CHEMISTRY FOR BEST RESULTS. IF IN DOUBT DEVELOP AS DOUBLE X OR ILFORD HP5”
I used the Fomapan times and Fomadon at 1:50 dilution, 23degrees, agitating every minute. That gave a development time of 7:45 minutes.

They came out ok, I will definitely buy some more of this film at some point.

I was looking for information on it and didn’t find anything. There werent any hashtags on Instagram either. So a nice experiment that work out.
Indeed a fine set of results, with what appears to be a long greyscale and good shadow detail. Makes for easy printing.
I am going to a lab in the near future, so I might try to properly print some of it.
A quick eBay search reveals that there’s also an ISO400 version of this film, called Pan XX. Both are available, in tins just as you bought, from UK-based shippers
I just ordered the 400, a longer roll this time as I know it is OK now.
🧐 Nice images. I’d be very interested in how you get on with the 400. I’ve been using Fomapan 400 for the last year and I have to say your images are very ‘Fomapanish’ even at 100ISO . You can get 100ft for £39 which gets you around 20 rolls. Keep us posted on how you get on.

I have relooked at the film and there are no film markings at all along the sprocket edge.
