Top 100 Camera Blogs and Websites

I recently received an email saying my/this website has been voted one of the top 100 camera blogs or websites. Even better, I appear in the top 50 at number 43.

I was and still am a little sceptical as this blog is mainly for myself, as a catalogue and reminder of the cameras I have tried. Plus when I looked at the list, I felt there were some huge omissions that should be way above my little blog.

The list also contains many digital photography sites, which my site really isn’t.

Either way, it was extremely nice to be included as it wasn’t something I had actively tried to be included on. It is an interesting list though if you are interested in photography.

Maybe I am being too self-deprecating.

Nothing to be skeptical about, your blog is well worth a read. It has many qualities that other blogs don’t, most notably I’d say yours is very human, and unpretentious. Think back to why you said you started it, I think you blog is a fabulous tribute

I think the nicest blogs to read are those made for oneself, without pressures to satisfy an audience, just simply being oneself. Your mention in a list is a nice consequence, congratulations for it; albeit always we will we our harsher critics and, as any list, we will feel some more names should be included I suspect is just inevitable and in the end what matters is the good intentions. Thank you for sharing your experiences, it is fascinating to discover so much through your meticulous curiosity : )

Peggy, you earned and deserve this recognition. Besides being a skilled and creative photographer, you show your readers around a world of cameras that range from outright pieces of plastic junk, to some of the finest made in years past. And there’s always a smidge of British snark lurking just below the surface, which makes your posts all the more enjoyable. Cheers!
